NRG have defeated FaZe 16-8 on Cache to top Group B and secure their spot in the ECS Season 5 semi-finals.

Retaking B successfully in the pistol round, NRG went on a streak of five rounds to kick off Cache, with Tsvetelin "CeRq" Dimitrov clutching a 1v1 in the first gunround and Ethan "Ethan" Arnold chiming in with a quad-kill in the second.

Despite an early advantage, the North American side conceded the next round after Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovács barely triumphed in a 1v1 against the Bulgarian AWPer, but they were quickly back on the horse.

Another six rounds in a row went NRG's way as they kept getting early advantages while CeRq added seven kills to his name, including another 1v1 clutch against his Slovakian counterpart in a dangerous anti-forcebuy.

FaZe recovered at last, opting for a couple of quick attacks towards each bombsite, while in the last round Nikola "NiKo" Kovač and GuardiaN turned around a 2v4 situation in their favor to give themselves a chance in the match with a 4-11 scoreline.

However, NRG clinched the second pistol round on the back of fantastic play from Ethan, who clutched a 1v2 to help his team get to 14-4. There was still life left in FaZe, who won the next four out of five rounds to close the gap to 8-15, but it was all she wrote afterward, as a key opening from CeRq allowed NRG to close things out on A at 16-8.
